The Kaiibisians

Rundown

Kaiibisians are well known for their nature loving style. They are deemed almost savages by the empires, but really they're just late to the group. They started building their castle and architecture not too long ago at all, maybe roughly around three or four hundred years ago. That's only about three or four generations! Unlike the other empires, they hold their religions and culture with large amounts of nature. Their gods are animal based, and their kingdoms are overgrown with flora, thriving with just as much fauna. Their ideal kingdom is made up of minimal technology, simple structures, and lots of carefully attended natural plant growth.

Race Info

Race Description: standing around 5 - 6 ½  ft these kilds have grown accustomed to the humidity of their tropical lands, their bodies are both muscular and fatty, often growing thick powerful legs and lower body for climbing and running with simple upper body strength, usually enough to lift themselves. They have dark grey blue skin with vibrant white/ lightly colored lined and swirled markings. (See picture of example) View Enlarged Image Here

Refining Abilities

Special attributes: the kaiibisian is one of the only known kild races to be able to vocalize with other species through sounds many kilds can't even hear. This is done by a deep vocal strand that reaches a level of low bellows. this can be used to speak to animals and give warning, summon or call near, and even bond or sooth, all depending on the tone and level of bellow. Another, more verbal way they speak is through small chirps, again coming from a vocal in their throats they don’t need to even part their lips for. There is a series of chirps used for calling, searching, identifying, and even directing animals as they please. With these Bilities, it allows the kaiibisian to further bond with their natural surrounding animals, both predator and prey, (this does not exclude the factor predator may still want to eat as a natural occurrence) but they will find it much easier to sense and know when a predator is there to just relax and sunbathe, and pose no threat. Same thing with pray being able to communicate allows them to know whether it is ok to rest at the kingdom. The animals have even been known to join the kaiibisians in religious rituals and even dances at times

------------------------------------------------------

Culture Style

A lot of their culture is nature based, using balanced, simplistic, and delicate ways of life. They do a lot of farming and especially a lot with water works in the main empire.

They believe in a very simplistic and relaxed way of life, helping one another farm and sharing food with their family and neighbors, singing and gathering for rituals and fun.

The main empire “Kaiibis Empire” was founded / proposed by the Kaiibis Tribe after several kaiibisians gathered at Makuha ( great Healing River.)

When the Kaiibisians saw that animals were much calmer here, they all saw this river as a sign of peace. They wanted this for all of their people, and gathered together, each Tribe leader becoming a part of a Royal Council. They would all suggest what they would like to make of the river and how they would like to build their cities, but overall, they looked to the Kaiibis for final decisions. Kaiibis took everything they had said into mind and found ways to work in each of their ideas into the empire. With such great minds, they built their beautiful Home.

They don’t like to invite “Bastai” which is their word for “outsiders” into their kingdom. If the Bastai approach in small numbers of one to five, there may be an acception to letting them pass through. The Animals may let them get close to the empire and warn the kaiibisians of their presence in which the kaiibisians may go to check out the Bastai and decide themselves whether they should confront and let them in or tell the animals to run them off.

Noctan Affiliation

The Kaiibis Empire is built close to the border of Noc’t, infact, if you follow up the Makuha river you’ll walk yourself right into Noc’t!  Many Noctans who wish to leave their tribes and need to get out of their homeland, will find themselves in troublesome places. To many kingdoms and races, Noctans are deemed scary, and even considered non-intellectuals  for their immense size, brute like structure, and small usage of words. These views on Noctans often will result in them feeling un-welcomed as they will often be given the worst housing, treated poorly, feared, and overall misunderstood with language barriers. This treatment can be rather irritating and bothersome to the Noctans. The Kaiibis Empire do not appreciate large numbers of “bastai” outsiders in their kingdom. They particularly like the Noctans for their usefulness and generally have a good understanding of one another.

Most prominently, Noctans are one of the very few races that are capable of hearing and the only known race to understand the nature of the bellows and chirps of the Kaiibisians. Both the kaiibisians and Noctans tend to use simple words and gestures for action and makes it very easy for the Noctans to pick up on. So of all the places to go when leaving Noc’t, many Noctans find themselves stumbling into the Kaiibis Empire as a good safe haven. The Kaiibisians get good protection and use of their size and sense for nature, whilst the Noctans get an easy going life without the worry of judgement or attacks from beasts. The two races live in a sort of symbiotic relationship

------------------------------------------

Death and Nature

Nature is the start and end of life and the Kaiibisians are well aware of this.

They play in the garden of life each day, enjoying themselves with juicy fruits, and being weary, yet ready, of the sharp eyes awaiting to take them away from the garden.

They do what they must to stay alive and keep one another safe, but sometimes it’s not worth risking more for less. If a Predator has taken ahold of someone their fellow Kaiibisians will often try to save him by chanting and bellowing at the predator angrily, but like empty insults, this doesn’t always deter it if it’s really hungry. Instead, they will see this as a sacrifice for the rest of them to not be picked off by that predator sense it’s belly will now be stuffed. They will take what they have of him left and set it in the last place he was seen in the forest. They will mourn his loss and praise his sacrifice. When a kild dies off illness, old age, or initially in the hands or home around other kilds, This kild is taken and wrapped in their favorite belongings, then taken out into the forest to be left. The family will either take them to a special ground for their members specifically, where others of the family were laid to rest, or to  a special place that kild might have specified where they wanted to be laid to rest. There is no burial to their dead, simply letting them be to take part in nature, getting finished off by scavengers or predators, or just naturally decaying.

Royals were known for picking a very special and secluded garden where they lay their dead to rest. Under a large beautiful sprouted tree where it is believed the tree takes their mana, or life force and lets it live on inside it. Scavengers can still get here, but the Royals try to keep the predators away so the bones of their relatives will remain as long as possible.

Hatching

When eggs are made they are taken to a special hatchery.
For the Common citizens of the empire, this hatchery was a separate place than the home. This Hatchery would be a round like home with no roofing. Instead, a silky translucent cover would drape over top the structure. This allowed the building to catch direct sunlight, but not too much, and keep the building rather ventilated from overheating. The room is filled with several specially sculpted clay tables. These tables were shaped for a specific vase to fit into.

This vase is made to be a perfect size for the average Kaiibisian egg to set into.

Once the egg is set in, the vase is then filled with water and the egg is submerged.

This water will be touched by the small bits of light during the day and heat the water, keeping the egg warm. The eggs will be checked on throughout the two months and carefully timed.

Many kilds will mark their egg with paint before this, or set special belongings and gifts  around the clay table the egg sits upon, both as marking, and for good luck.

Even with this advanced way of hatchery, it is possible for the kilden to not make it.

When the egg is first placed in the vase, it will sink to the very bottom, as it develops and an air pocket is formed inside, the egg will slowly rise to the top. Once it’s at the end of it’s two months and nearing it’s hatch day, the parents will come to see if the final answer to their hard work and hopes “did my kilden make it?”

The egg must first be carefully watched for any sign of movement. Often live kilden will bobble or wiggle and cause the egg to shake in the water, this is a definite that they are alive and ready to hatch. If no motion is shown, the egg is to be pulled out of the vase and weighed. Often a hatchery caretaker will weigh the egg by holding it and acknowledging the lightness of the egg is spoiled. If it’s heavy and undeveloped, they’ll hold the egg up toward light to see through the egg and see if there is any life inside. If none, the family is to take the egg or undeveloped kilden out to set it to nature to hold it’s part in life. This will often be simply leaving it somewhere where a predator can easily find it, or if the parent’s chose to crack open the egg just to see their kilden before they must leave it.

When the egg developed fine, and shows signs of hatching such as wiggling and bobbing in the water, it’s to be taken out of the water immediately and lay on it’s side upon the table to finish hatching. After that, the parents can take their kilden home and begin raising it.

Clothing

The Kaiibisian often wear minimal clothing and show off their scales and markings happily. For them, concealing themselves with clothing is unnecessary, they wear mostly decorative transparent woven clothing that is used to keep pesky insects off. The transparent material is a loose netting made of small silky plant fibers from a plant they call “Cannono” Which is known for repelling many blood drinking insects.

This isn't the only clothing they have, however! they do tend to dress up especially for ritual dances and ceremonies as well. These outfits can be seen as highly decorative, metaphorical types of clothing, worn for ritual dances to their gods. Typically these are for things like fire, rain, hunt, fertilization, and piece.

Raising Kilden

Kilden are often Raised to learn how to express themselves through art forms, and their parents will often teach them about respecting animals and their neighbors, the  delicacies of agriculture and meaning, teaching the kilden ritual dances and forms of prayer that they can later join in with many others and feel contribution.

Once the kilden’s multi-vocals are grown in for making bellow and chirps, the parents will then teach them how to interact with animals. Much of this information is experimental sense each vocal range is special to the kild. But most of it is perfecting the sounds to become understandable and crisp.

Kokanachu

(coke-on-ah-choo)

A common mineral used in regular life of the Kaiibisians. Kokanachu comes from the combination of two words Kocha (Feeling good) annd Nachu (stone)

The Kokanachu is unique to the Kaiib lands, and more specifically their great Healing River.

This mineral is greatly loved and shared between the Kaiibisians of the Makuha. The mineral is used by finely grounding the smooth river stone into very small and dust sized pieces. It can then be mixed with spices and salts, or set plain in a wide clay pot; water is then poured over the mixture until it just barely covers the mixture.  a lid having only a small hole out the top or side is then placed on top and the pot is set over a low flame. This boils the water inside and

captivates the steamed mixture inside for a while before releasing it into the air, and is then scenting the area with a strong incense.

The effects this holds on the kilds using it is similar to the effects Solax Eliis would give off, feelings of happiness and relaxation, a buzzing or light headed feeling. The kaiibisians see this as a very mentally healing material. Afterall, Solax Eliis gives off a similar vibe, how could this be anything but healthy?
