Riuz
The Riuz is a common herbivorous creature in Zevhiira.

They often travel in large herds consisting of a dominant male, up to three sub males, and anywhere from 4 to 20 females in the wild. These creatures have been farmed by kilds for their milk to make cheese and milk based meals, but as it is uncommon for Zugisians to slaughter their farmed animals, they have good bonds with the local kilds, even in the wild, seeing them as a non-threat. At times, Zugisians will even chase off predators after the Riuz herds, as a good way to both strengthen their bond, and get a little extra cheese.

Farmed Riuz can be in herds of up to 50-100 being allowed to roam free about the farmlands and even into the lower parts of towns. For the exchange of food and safe living, they are rather tolerant of the Zugisians milking them.

Riuz Milk:
the milk gained from Riuz is rather tart and bitter raw, but can be mixed with sweeteners like sugar and nectars along with other ingredients and become a sweet creamy flavor instead. The more ingredients added, the more careful and expensive it is to make, so the richer flavors are more likely only purchased by higher ups who are able to afford the imported ingredients. Though, it's not so much a struggle for the farmers and peasants who have to drink or eat their cheese more basic, they are used to the taste and are thankful for having it.

Riuz behaviors:
The Riuz male is often most easily noticed for it's bright red head and horns. They also have longer antennas for better feeling movement in air, allowing them to predict weather changes, or even careless ambushes. Some kilds believe these antennas have a connection to the other Riuz in the herd as they move and run as though they were one, almost one step ahead of whatever is happening. However, no one has been able to resolve if this is true, or if Riuz simply have a similar mindset in where they're going. When facing a predator, The females will often huddle around the young to protect them, carefully moving them away from the danger. Meanwhile, the Riuz males will distract the predator, typically one staying behind to protect the females. Given something happens to the other males, that one should grow up to become the next dominant male. Though, often the Riuz can relitively well handle themselves against predators in time. They take on predators by letting out a discomforting yell, and charging full force into the predator. Their horns are strong enough to pernitrate, so it can be risky to get in the way of these. The Riuz will often make many quick circles around the attacking predator, dodging and ramming when they can. They will either push the predator into a discomforting position such as a ledge or into water, or even lure them to a cliffside where they can lose the predator by scurrying up the cliffsides with ease after their herd makes it up.
The Riuz has also been known to use it's antennas in a similar trait as Jaks do, and will often rub their antennas against other's in ther herd or to kilds they bond with, as a sentimental purpose. They have also been used as dominance factors, dominant males will nip and pull at less dominant male's antennas if they disagree with the acts being made.

Riuz Diet:
Their diet mostly consists of leaves and grasses, any fruits and vegetation they can get to really. Occasionally they will bring down an insect that flies around them and eat it, but it is a more rare sight.

Anatomy

The Riuz have strong lengthy legs and hooves for charging, and climbing steep slopes. Their hind quarters are shorter than their front, and their bodies are short in length. Their body is mostly covered in a course fur, aside from their shaggy feathered mane and tail. They have two sets of antennas, two on the top of their heads, just behind the brow or horns, and two on their lower jaw. Their soul gem is placed between their eyes on the top slope of their nose. Males have two sturdy horns located just above the eyes on the brow. Lastly, their fearery tail is used as a flag to signal their herds attention in case of possible danger.
